Taking Workplace Wellbeing to the next level
Most organisations now have an intention to support their employee’s wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
This can include wellness policies, online apps, employee assistance programmes (EAP), flexible working, corporate events and team building.
I offer a unique approach to add to this mix and take it up a notch. I’ve worked with a wide range of organisations, bringing my experience in health management, yoga teaching, gym instructor and personal trainer.

What are the benefits?
There are many potential benefits related to this approach:
Reduces workplace injuries. Yoga is a great way to improve strength and flexibility, both of which are often lacking in the modern office environment. With long hours at the desk, or manual work, yoga and strengthening exercises help reduce back pain and repetitive strain injuries, and musculoskeletal problems which are frequent in office workers.
Increases energy & reduces fatigue. Standing up and doing gentle stretches throughout the day increase our circulation and promotes brain health. Incorporating gentle stretches in our work schedule, is good for our body and mind - we feel more calm, centred, and energised.
Increases productivity & focus. Intentional breathing and present moment awareness practice (meditation) can enhance our concentration and focus. By bringing our attention back to the breath whenever our mind starts to wander, we create a more alert and focused mind.
Promotes creativity. With increased focus and energy, we experience a greater sense of inner positivity and motivation, which generates creative thinking. As we feel more balanced and present, our mind is free to think more clearly and creatively.
How I work
I use scientifically backed methods from yoga, personal training, and positive psychology to create interactive fun experiences that give people simple skills and insights around their wellbeing.
The consistent feedback I get is that my personality and positive encouragement make sessions light-hearted, relaxed and doable.
I believe that in the digital age of screens, AI and stress, people need the opportunity to reconnect with their human side at work. So, getting employees in a room together, to share practical wellbeing strategies is essential to counter technology related stress.
Regular weekly one-hour sessions are often enough to make a difference.

I’ve led over 1500 wellness sessions, retreats, yoga, and fitness classes around Christchurch and beyond. From farmers in their work boots, CBD office spaces, and hospital staff in their ‘scrubs’ we make do and adapt to the environment. A little humour goes a long way!

My sessions generally include
Strengthening: to reduce workplace injuries
Stretching: to increase circulation and promote brain health
Evidence-based health coaching: solutions focused strategies to increase emotional intelligence, the key element that helps shape our behaviours, health, relationships, and performance.
Breathing and mindfulness: to enhance concentration and focus, and productivity.
Relaxation: to feel more balanced and present so our mind is free to think more clearly and creatively.
No yoga experience is required. People with injuries/illness have taken part in sessions in the past.

6 months of wellness sessions $2,760. Includes a one-hour wellness session fortnightly. At your workplace, or at a suitable venue near you (additional cost).
3 months of wellness sessions $1,500. Includes a one-hour wellness session fortnightly. At your workplace, or at a suitable venue near you (additional cost).
