The Quarters at Middlehurst Station is one of New Zealand's most secluded High Country stays. Nestled within sight of Middlehurst's prominent Mt Lookout, and a short walk from the Awatere Valley’s braided rivers lies The Quarters - a unique and world class venue, with an architecturally established 10 room lodge with added luxury.

Owned and operated by the Macdonald family, Middlehurst Station covers 16,500 hectares of the upper Awatere Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand. Middlehurst Station supplies Merino wool to global brands such as icebreaker and Allbirds. Watch shepherds and their team of dogs caring for our Merino sheep, or simply enjoy a walk in the fields away from the hustle and bustle of urban life amongst breathtaking scenery.

Enjoy the night sky completely uninterrupted by lights, this is a place where you can choose to either immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations at Middlehurst Station or simply take time away from the rush of life and soak up the restorative wellness practices on offer.

disconnect to reconnect

On this 4-day Wellness Retreat you will experience the quiet amongst the unique mountainous surrounds and have space from your daily pressures to-top up your reserves, feel more physical vitality, and mental peace.

Yoga helps restore balance in our body and mind. When life gets challenging, or we have a fearful situation in front of us, we get out of balance and we experience stress. The experience of stress affects our breath, our immune system, and our general state of health.

It’s important that we know how to bring ourselves back to a place of balance and vitality. People find the poses in yoga help shift the energy in the body to feel more overall vitality and energy for daily life.

Restorative yoga can help you repair from burnout or simply indulge in a self-care session to top up your reserves. Float away with this deep relaxation to restore your nervous system. On arrival receive a yoga bolster and luxurious lavender eye pillow for use at the retreat - for the ultimate restorative yoga experience.

  • Yoga - for stretching, strengthening, and finding your vitality

  • Restorative yoga - breathing, meditation for better sleep, deep relaxation

  • Daily Workout - to build strength, and vitality

  • Wellness workshops - Evidence based practices for feeling more joy, reducing stress, sleeping better, finding mental peace, and physical vitality

  • The yoga/workouts are suitable for beginners to advanced. No yoga experience required. Workouts are personalised to suit the individual, including any health conditions/injuries.

WOOD FIRED HOT TUB

A natural spring at the base of Mt Lookout provides gravity fed water to wood fired hot tubs only metres from The Quarters accommodation. Positioned separately and screened, they allow privacy and total relaxation for our guests to enjoy soaking in pure mountain mineral water.
