Are you finding yourself tense and tight? Are you constantly looking for an opportunity to relax and regenerate? Do you want to experience mind and body practices for restoring your nervous system, sleeping better, and getting clarity of mind?

This ultimate relaxation mini retreat is all about restoring you – your body, mind, and connecting to your deeper sense of self. Three and a half blissful hours that have been designed to relax, reconnect and renew you.

The longer held stretches in Yin Relaxation yoga helps us focus on the deeper tissues of our body. This type of yoga especially helps us reduce stress while stimulating regeneration. We will strengthen, stretch and stimulate the fascia (connectivity tissue) to encourage more flexibility and freedom of movement while releasing deep tension of the body and restoring the nervous system.

The mini retreat consists of :

  • Gentle Yoga - to get us out of our mind and into our body

  • Candlelit Yin Relaxation Yoga - focusing on deep relaxation

  • Pranayama (yogic beathing) for releasing tension and restoring calm and peacefulness

You will also learn:

  • Evidence based practices for reducing anxious tendencies and dealing with uncertainty

  • Skills to redirect our awareness to experience more joy

  • How to develop a deep sense of wellbeing even amidst the most challenging circumstances

Also includes light refreshments and warm chats. Beginners welcome. Limited spaces

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

Jo Jarden is a certified personal trainer and yoga teacher in Christchurch and the founder of Heart and Mind Yoga studio. She has 10 years experience in health promotion in New Zealand and Australia including management and promotion of national chronic disease prevention programs. She now helps people one on one with their wellbeing through yoga teaching, personal training, workplace yoga and wellbeing workshops. 

Qualifications include:
